Review of PQI USA FC128S CompactFlash Memory Card

I have never seen a price this low for a 128MB Conpact Flash memory card! For [item price] it's amazing. You might think that the producer compromised quality for price, but I have seen no evidence of this so far. I love it because it holds the perfect ammount of pictures and videos on it.

Review of Lexar Media 128 MB USB 12X High-Speed CompactFlash Card (CF128-12-251)

I got it sooner than I was supposed to with the free shipping and it works really well with my canon s230 digital elph.I also use this card with a card reader, the same brand.I picked this card because it was 12x. I know there are cheaper 128 cards, but my canon shoots 3 minute video clips if the card is fast enough to write the data, and this one is!

Product Description:
Lexar Media's high-speed digital film helps your camera capture images faster, so you spend more time taking pictures and less time waiting on your camera. Lexar's CompactFlash cards are individually speed rated so you know the minimum capability of the card. Lexar uses the same rating system used by the CD-ROM industry, where a data transfer rate of 1x equals 150 kilobytes per second (KBps). The higher the speed rating, the faster your camera will be able to write images to the memory card.
For professional shooters who need immediate confirmation they've captured the shot or who want to identify accurate exposure levels or bracketing range, Lexar's patented 12X speed (1.8 MBps) transfer rate makes the card ideal for fast-paced applications such as photojournalism, sports, and fashion. And Lexar's solid-state design provides reliability in harsh shooting environments, mandated by professionals throughout the world.
The Digital Film Compliance seal assures you that your Lexar Media digital film is 100 percent compatible with your CompactFlash digital camera. It can also be used in all other digital devices that support the CompactFlash format, such as PDAs, video recorders, and MP3 players. All Lexar Media CompactFlash cards meet the CompactFlash Association's specifications and are marked with the CF+ symbol.

Review of Kingston Technology CF/128 128MB Compactflash Card ( CF/128 ) (Retail Package)

How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about.Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The Kingston Technology CF/128 128MB Compactflash Card, like most 128MB cards, will store on average 142 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 106 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera,64 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 51 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 40 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

Review of SimpleTech STI-CF/128 128MB CompactFlash Card

After reading serveral posts about simpletech cards having trouble working in Nikon digital cameras, I decided to called Nikon myself. They told me, and this is from the horses mouth. That Simpletechs flash cards use a hitachi controller, the fastest one on the market today. These controllers don't work well with Nikon cameras because the hitachi controller writes the different parts of the image to the flash card simultaenously giving the card greater speed. But the contollers in the Nikon cameras do not write the image simlutaenously instead they write the image one piece at a time, this is slower, but it works according to Nikon. I then asked why other maunfacuters cards work with Nikon and they said that those manufactuers use their own controller tweeked to work with Nikon. The tech guy at Nikon happened to mention that Nikon will soon be introducing a new line of digital cameras with the new faster controller that will work fast and flawlessly with the simpletech cards. Lastly, he assured me that there is nothing wrong or inferior about Simpletech cards. I bought one after all!
There's my 2 cent to this playground argument!

Review of SanDisk 128 MB CompactFlash Card

About a year ago, I purchased a Nikon Coolpix 950 digital camera. The "wimpy" 8 MB CompactFlash card that came with the unit would onlyhold one (1) uncompressed, high-resolution picture - I needed more.Istarted looking and found this; the SanDisk 128 MB CompactFlash.I read onthe Nikon technical support web page that SanDisk is the OEM for Nikon'sCompactFlash cards, so I felt pretty safe selecting this card. The onlyquestion I had was "would my Coolpix 950 work with a card thislarge?"The answer is a resounding YES!(according to friends, itwill work in the new Coolpix 990 also)
The card formatted in the cameraperfectly and has simply worked for the past nine months.I shoot allpictures in high resolution with a moderate compression level, allowing meto store more than 110 - 2.1 MegaPixel pictures in the camera - plenty forme.Recently, we took a five-day trip to Disney World - this card capturedALL of our pictures perfectly. If you get this, check out one of the USBcard readers as well - the serial connection is just way too slow fortransferring this much data.
Executive Summary:Buy it now.

Review of SanDisk SDCFB-128-A10 CompactFlash 128 MB

I have one of these for use in a Nikon Coolpix 995 digital camera.
At the highest resolution, 2048x1536, you can average about 100 shots on the card before you have to start deleting pics to free up space.
Who needs such a huge card?Well, I prefer to use a larger CF card and take the highest-rez pic possible, rather than play around adjusting resolutions out in the cold and rain.Who knows - you may get that 'killer pic' you want to blow up to 11x14, and only realize it once you're back at your computer! You can always rescale a picture down later.
With this card, I can go on vacation and take a week's worth of pics, no problem, no fussing around with swapping cards. This card is great!
